My Name is Nick Derr.  I am an 8th grader at Geneva Middle School North in Geneva, IL.  I will be attending Geneva High School which plays is the Upstate 8 Baseball Conference. I am a high honor roll student and have receieved awards for my character.

I play Shortstop and Pitcher.  I have been identified by a couple national recognized baseball organizations as a top 2016 prospect in Illinois.   I have led my teams in batting average and slugging percentage for the past several years.  I ran a 6.9 60 Yard Dash at 13 years old that was timed and documented by USA Officials.

Currently,I am playing one age group up with the 15U Elite Baseball Club which is spearheaded by Justin Stone.    Elite Baseball will be playing in the top 15U and 16U tournaments around the US - Illinois, Florida, Arizona, at Notre Dame and other states.  Elite players are from the region.   As my teammates are playing high school baseball in the spring 2012, I will be playing in national tournaments around the US.

In spring/summer 2011, I played for the 14U Illinois Diamond Owlz which was ranked in the top 25 teams in the United States. I led the team in batting average and slugging percentage. The Owlz had players from all around Chicagoland and several southern states. When I was not in an Owlz uniform, I played with the 14U Meteors Baseball out of Florida. Meteors Baseball was ranked #3 in the United States.   At the end of summer 2010, I was selected to play on an elite tournament team by a baseball organization that recruits players from eight states in the Midwest.

I am a 3 sport student athlete.  In addition to baseball, I play Quarterback and Linebacker in Football and Point Guard in Basketball.  I have been fortunate to be invited and played on high level travel teams one age group up since I was 8 years old which made me play with and against the best competition and players.  I am also thankful to my coaches that positively impacted my development on the field and the way I conduct myself off the field.

In football, I am a QB (Throwing & Running QB), Middle Linebacker & Returns Kickoff & Punts. I was invited to play on the All American Diamond Bowl East Team in Tempe Arizona but had to decline due to baseball commitments.   I have always been invited and played on travel football teams one or two grades up. In Basketball, I play Point Guard in Middle School, on an AAU team and a travel team.

I reside in Illinois, but spend time in Florida.  I attend Camps at IMG Baseball Academy and other training facilities.

My Goal is to receive a college education and play baseball at the highest level.  Which includes playing at a top Division 1 college.
